Electro-Polishing (EP) is a non-mechanical process of controlled electrochemical removal of surface metal by anodic dissolution, otherwise known as “reverse plating”. The process has a leveling effect, which produces smoothness and increased reflectivity by removing metal beginning with the high points within the microscopic surface texture. It is through removing these points that a smoother and more reflective surface is achieved.
